Planned
Parenthood of
Louisiana
and the Mississippi Delta is proud to offer a variety of sexuality
education workshops. Our workshops are innovative, interactive
and designed to impart information about sexuality and reproductive
health that is both age-appropriate and medically-accurate. We offer
these workshops for free to public schools, private schools,
community organizations, religious groups and private parties.
We also provide individual educational sessions by appointment.
We
are committed to ensuring that our youth grow up to be sexually
healthy adults, and so we offer workshops that cover a broad range
of reproductive health and sexuality issues. Our programs are
designed to equip youth and teens with the decision-making tools
they need to help reduce their risk for STI/STDs and unplanned
pregnancies.
The
following is an outline of the topics we cover in our workshops.
-
Reproductive
Anatomy and Physiology
-
Communication,
Dating, and Sexuality
-
Sexually
Transmitted Infections
-
Abstinence
-
Birth
Control Methods and Risk Reduction
-
Sexual
Decision Making
Although
we prefer to do multi-session workshops, as this is the most
effective way to educate youth, we do understand that for some with
busy schedules, scheduling multi-session programs can be a
challenge, therefore single session workshops are available as well.
We often need a month notice
to schedule workshops and we offer them on a first come first serve
basis. Promotional materials are available for all workshops.
For
more information or to schedule a workshop please email health.educator@pphset.org,
or call us at 225-344-7227.
