Nurse Practitioner

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform physical examinations, laboratory tests, and interpret information collected in health assessment and evaluate health care provided and modify as needed. This will include the necessary follow-up to provide information to patients about abnormal test results and referral follow up.
- Formulate and initiate health care plan.
- Initiate and maintain health records.
- Refer deviations from normal to the medical director of the clinic or the appropriate health care professional.
- Recognize and utilize ability to maintain close contact with associate medical director and/or medical director as needed.
- Participate in research projects.
Qualifications
- Current RN license in the State of Louisiana
- Louisiana NP Credentials
- Experience in family planning preferred
- English/Spanish skills a plus
- Current CPR certification

Volunteer Coordinator/Health Educator
Health Educator

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Educational Activities.
• Develop and provide educational programs for youth, parents/adults, as well as other professionals in a variety of settings.
• Preparation and planning: evaluate curriculum and other materials for quality/accuracy; plan appropriately for audience, including age and cultural relevance.
• Professional delivery of sexuality education programs with an ability to communicate and interact well with audience and give complete and accurate information.
• Training and consulting with other professionals to develop programs, meetings, conferences.
• Follow-up: Have evaluation forms completed by audience and the leader; distribute educational and informational materials (videos, brochures, curricula).
• Recruitment of new program opportunities and scheduling of new programs.
Qualifications
• One year experience in a health care facility;
• Baccalaureate degree, or is a licensed professional mental health practitioner who provides therapeutic intervention.
• Knowledge of Male & Female Anatomy
• Knowledge of Family Planning Principles is helpful.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Health Center Assistant (Medical Assistant)

Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care including intake, vital signs, education, counseling, referral information and testing.
- Perform all office functions including check in/out, patient registration, billing, and scheduling.
- Perform phlebotomy; handle and prepare specimens; and clean and sterilize equipment.
- Assist provider with patient visit.
- Retrieve and file information into patient’s record.
- Maintain work environment.
Qualifications:
- A High School Diploma or GED
- One year of training in the medical field or the equivalent combination of education and experience that yields comparable knowledge
- Certified Medical Assistant preferred but not required
- Clerical and computer skills
- Excellent customer service skills

Annual Fund Manager
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Works with Vice President of development to create a strategic plan and budget for increasing the number of individual donors in Baton Rouge and Shreveport.
- Plans and executes a fundraising event in Baton Rouge with support from New Orleans and Houston development Staff.
- Makes person visits or phone calls to donors alone with other staff or volunteers.
- Develops strategy, schedule, and message and lists for direct response program in Louisiana and Texas including direct mail, telefunding, and some marketing.
- Creates and maintains relationships with individual supports and volunteers.
- Oversee volunteer management for Louisiana. Recruits and manages volunteers in the Baton Rouge, area.
Qualifications
- Three to five years of successful fundraising experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to reach out to diverse individuals new to Planned Parenthood.
- Ability to demonstrate attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Self Starter
